Health as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not only the absence of diseases or illnesses.

Healthy development begins when we are young. The first 20 years of life have a definite and important influence on the future health and development of an individual.

Sometimes we think that we will adopt health habits tomorrow or some other time in the future. For example, every New Year we resolve to eat healthier or to start exercising, but most often this just remains a positive thought.

In the case of mental health, we realize its importance when we are in stressful situations or experience an anxiety attack. However, most people don’t look for professional help to manage the crisis.

Action or inaction have an effect on the trajectory of our health. Inaction does have a cost which we see when our health fails. This is why it is necessary to start or to continue TODAY with healthy habits that encompass physical, mental and social well-being.
